Documents Needed to Lease a Car in Dubai (Complete List)

To lease a car with Drive Your Dream, you need exactly two documents:

1. Valid Emirates ID — front and back, not expired 2. Valid UAE Residence Visa — must be current and active

That's it. No employer letter, no NOC from your company, no utility bills, no guarantor letter, no bank reference. If you have these two documents, you can apply.

In addition to your ID and visa, we need some form of income verification. But unlike banks, we accept ANY of the following:

For Salaried Employees: • Salary certificate from your employer, OR • 3 months of bank statements showing salary deposits

For Business Owners: • Valid trade license (mainland, free zone, or offshore) • Company bank statements (3 months)

For Freelancers: • Freelance permit (MOHRE, TECOM, etc.) • Bank statements or invoices showing income

For Other Situations: • Investment income documentation • Rental income proof • Any official documentation demonstrating financial capacity

We don't require a minimum salary. We don't require WPS registration. We evaluate the overall picture, not a single number.

Here's what banks typically require that we do NOT:

• ❌ AECB credit check or credit score • ❌ 6 months of salary transfer history • ❌ Employer NOC (No Objection Certificate) • ❌ Bank reference letter • ❌ Guarantor or co-signer • ❌ Utility bills or tenancy contract • ❌ Minimum salary threshold • ❌ Letter from HR on company letterhead • ❌ WPS (Wage Protection System) registration

If you've been rejected by a bank because of any of these requirements, lease-to-own removes those barriers entirely.

Do I need a UAE driving license to apply?

You need a valid driving license to drive, but you can start the leasing application before your UAE license is issued. Many clients apply while their license conversion is in process.

What if my visa is about to expire?

We need a currently valid visa at the time of application. If your visa is being renewed, you can apply once the new visa is stamped.

Can someone else apply on my behalf?

The lease must be in the name of the person who will be driving. Power of attorney arrangements are not supported for lease applications.
